Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette Review and Swatches

Too Faced Eye Shadow Palette
Can we just take a minute to appreciate the aesthetic beauty of this Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette please? Don't hate me, but I actually purchased this for it's looks (so shallow). Thankfully, the beauty of these eye shadows goes a lot deeper than it's initial appearance.

Firstly, I'm a fan of the compact, travel friendly tin that the shadows come in. It's not the sturdiest tin ever, but it works to protect the shadows and they've never spilt all over my makeup bag so it's all good. Apparently, the original version of this palette had cardboard packaging so I'm pleased Too Faced have upgraded - flimsy packaging is just not the one, is it?!

Natural Eyes has everything that you need to create day and night eye looks and includes a 'Glamour Guide' with a step by step on how to create 3 different looks if you need a little bit of help. Great for me as I'm really not the best when it comes to eye shadow. There is a perfect mix of mattes and shimmers and most of the shadows are so creamy and pigmented. I wasn't prepared for the amount of fall out from these shadows though so I'd recommend applying your eye makeup before your foundation!
Too Faced Eye Palette Swatches
L-R: Sexpresso, Cashmere Bunny, Erotica, Chocolate Martini, Push Up, Honey Pot, Nudie, Silk Teddy, Heaven

 Mattes:

Heaven - a gorgeous vanilla base colour which is also great for highlighting the brow bone.

Nudie - a light brown colour that I use for the base - I mix and match this with Heaven.

Cashmere Bunny - a lovely warm chocolate colour which I blend into the outer corner of my eyes.

Sexpresso- an extra dark brown which is so good to deepen the crease and to create a smoky look.

Shimmers:

Silk Teddy - I was pleasantly surprised by this shade, it's a subtle, metallic shimmer which is great for a base colour for a more glamorous look.

Honey Pot - a warm gold shadow that I use to create a night time look, it's a little bit too much for a day look for me personally but only because I'm not overly daring!

Push Up- a beauty blogger's Rose Gold dream. It's an absolutely gorgeous, highly pigmented shade.

Glitters:

Erotica - this formula is probably my least favourite - matte with tiny glitter particles. Erotica looks stunning in the pan but is pretty sheer when applied to the eyelid. It takes quite a bit of building up in order to achieve any impact so I was slightly less impressed with this one.

Chocolate Martini - similar to Erotica, you need to apply quite a bit of this shade to achieve a similar pigment to the rest of the palette. It does help that this shade is darker and contains less glitter though and with an extra bit of effort it looks gorgeous.

I'm pretty impressed with Natural Eyes and it's my go to palette at the moment. My favourite shades are Cashmere Bunny and Honey Pot. You can overlook the 2 disappointing shades as the rest of them are just so beautiful! I think this is a bit of a beauty blogger must have and I'd highly recommend adding it to your makeup collection.

Have you tried the Too Faced Natural Eyes Palette? What is your favourite shade in the palette?

  9. I have been meaning to buy this palette for sooo long, but I cannot stand palettes that have loads of fall out - is it really bad? I always apply my foundation first to avoid 'patchyness' around eyes. The golden shades in contrast with the brown shades makes me want to buy it, though! Lovely review!

  17. I LOVE Too Faced products. My first high end palette that I purchased was from them and this palette looks stunning. I'm a neutral girl and this palette looks like the perfect fit for me. And the best part the price! There almost always affordable. Great post!
