June: My Favourite Bloggers

The last time I did a 'Favourite Bloggers' post it went down really well- I'm new to blogging and one of my favourite things has been engaging with and sharing tips and advice with other bloggers. I really feel that it is important to share the love and appreciate the hard work that others put in to their blogs from providing us with beautiful images to creating amazing, informative content. I feel so grateful to be a part of this growing, dynamic online community! These are the blogs I have been obsessed with throughout June:

Jasmine Talks Beauty: I have only recently come across Jasmine's blog but it has quickly become one of my favourites- her blog photography is gorgeous and there are so many in-depth product reviews (a mixture of high end and high street products!) Jasmine always leaves lovely blog comments too and as I mentioned above I think it's very important to engage with other bloggers!

Glossy Boutique | A Beauty and Fashion Blog: Over at Emma's blog you can expect an eclectic mix of posts including regular beauty hauls, fashion posts and updates about her beautiful puppy Daphne! Her blog photography is great and features large, crisp photographs (photography is definitely something I need to brush up on so it's the first thing I notice on other blogs!)- Emma is definitely one to check out.

JennieEmma: When I first came across Jennie's blog it was her writing style that drew me in- she comes across as so friendly and down to earth in her posts. It seems to be a bit of a theme with this posts but her photography is beautiful and she changes up her backgrounds regularly to keep the photos interesting. It's even better that Jennie seems to share my obsession with bath bombs- check out her posts here and here.

Who are you favourite bloggers right now? I highly recommend checking out all of these gorgeous ladies :)

Out With The New and In With The Old...

As with most beauty obsessives, I sometimes find myself drowning in products- too much make up and not enough faces to put it on. For this reason, every so often I will have a little route around my make up bag and rekindle my love for some of the products that I have neglected in favour of my brand new purchases. I've put together a few of the products I have fallen back in love with recently:

Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch- I swapped my Clarins primer a little while ago for Urban Decay's Pore Perfecting Primer as I fancied a change (y'know how it is) but I will always have a space in my heart for Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. I love this primer because it feels so light on the skin- not greasy in the slightest- and foundation looks flawless on top of it.

Topshop Glow in Gleam - I will admit that I am quite fickle when it comes to highlighters. I couldn't even tell you how many I own and I have no issue with replacing one as soon as another comes along. I always seem to go back to this little pot of Topshop goodness though as it is so easy to blend and gives me the right amount of shimmer- not too much and not too little!

Barry M Fuchsia Nail Polish - This is one of the first Barry M nail polishes I ever purchased (probably around 6/7 years ago!) and it is still going strong. I always reach for this in the Summer months as you can't go wrong with the colour pink, especially one as bright as this one.

Bourjois Cream Blush in Rose Tender - I've always been a little scared when it comes to cream blushes as I fear I will end up looking Coco the Clown. Bourjois Cream Blush however is pretty fool proof. It's almost a cream to powder blush and gives a beautiful, subtle glow when applied on the cheeks.

Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream- I seriously can't find fault with this product and I'm not sure why I stopped using it for a little while. It is perfect for anything from stings, dry skin, chapped lips, angry spots, stray eyebrows and shaving rashes. I have had this tube for around a year and I still haven't run out either. A little really does go a long way- it is a thick, gel like formula and I mainly prefer to use this on my lips and let it soak in over night.

Topshop Lip Crayon in Wave Goodbye- Unfortunately, this product has been discontinued by Topshop now (boo!) but I used this religiously last Summer. I have given it a little sharpen and it's ready for it's second Summer now- it's a lovely pastel pink colour that goes with absolutely anything.

Dior Blackout Mascara- This really is an old school product for me- I remember buying this and for about a week after I couldn't get over the fact that I had just spend £24.50 on a mascara (look at me now!). This is a great product if you love dark, long lashes as it really makes a difference. It is one of the best mascaras I have ever used and there won't be a clump in sight.

Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter- I have neglected these poor lipsticks in favour for the newer Revlon lipstick launches, however, I grabbed the first one I could find before a meeting at work the other day and it just so happened to be Tutti Frutti. I forgot how gorgeous these lipsticks are and they feel so moisturising on the lips!

Is it just me that reverts back to 'old' products? Are there any products you have rekindled your love for lately?

Everyday Jewellery

I don't know about you but I love jewellery. Silver jewellery to be more precise. I have never really been a fan of gold, I don't know why just my personal preference! Most of my daily jewellery pieces come from (surprise, surprise)....Pandora. I find that their jewellery looks so simple and elegant- perfect for work during the day. I have received so many compliments about my jewellery recently and I'm always being asked where I got them from so I thought I would share with you too. I used to really like chunky, bold rings and bracelets but as I have grown older I seem to gravitate towards the more classy, feminine pieces. I also like Pandora so much because the charm bracelets are personalised and are often given as gifts to symbolise special occasions.

I like to keep my Pandora charm bracelet quite plain as I didn't want to limit my choice of charms with a colour scheme. My favourite charm is the Buddha- so cute! The small heart chain bracelet is also from Pandora- the heart is made up of tiny little jewels that add an extra bit of glamour.
All of the rings above are from Pandora apart from the double silver heart ring. That one was given to me as a birthday gift from my best friend so it holds a lot of sentimental value. The large statement ring is so beautiful and I tend to wear this on it's own as it has a lot of impact. I like to mix and match the other rings and wear a few of them together. I love that you can now stack a lot of the Pandora rings to create different looks.

Do you prefer Gold or Silver jewellery? What is your favourite Pandora item?

The Body Shop: Virgin Mojito Collection

Summer has landed at The Body Shop! I was walking through town the other day with the sole purpose of buying some boring work shoes and I'd given myself the general pep talk about not buying anything other than those shoes as I always spend too much on things I probably don't need. Obviously, after walking past The Body Shop window and clocking the Virgin Mojito display, that lasted all of 5 minutes (oops!).

Classic mojitos are my favourite cocktail ever so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this new range and I knew I had to have these products in my life. They smell absolutely beautiful and I have had to stop myself from drinking the shower gel on several occasions (please do not drink, products are not fit for human consumption!).

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Review

I have been using the body scrub and shower gel together and they make my skin feel so refreshed, they definitely help to wake me up in a morning. My favourite product out of the 3 that I purchased has to be the Body Sorbet- I have been smoothing this all over my body on a daily basis and I absolutely love it. As it is so light and 'matte', it sinks into the skin straight away so there is no waiting around before you can get dressed and it makes my skin so soft and smooth. Perfect!

Click here to purchase products from the Virgin Mojito range. I can promise you, you won't regret it!

Have you tried any of the Virgin Mojito range? What is your favourite Body Shop range?

Mini Haul: Bomb Cosmetics

Bomb Cosmetics Review

Following on from my previous post, here is my Bomb Cosmetics mini haul! I have to say, as sad as it sounds, I was very excited to open this box and find multi-coloured polystyrene...how fun?! I really struggled to limit myself to a few products when I was making this order and was tempted to buy the whole website. After much deliberation, this is what I finally decided on:

Very Berry Candle (discontinued)
Strawberry Daiquiri Lip Balm (discontinued)

Have you tried any Bomb Cosmetic products? What would you recommend?

Lazy Skincare Routine

Current skincare routine, The Body Shop

When it comes to skincare, I am possibly the laziest person on the planet. I definitely need to make much more of an effort to look after my skin as it's important. So, here I am sharing my lazy skincare routine with you all. Every night I cleanse my skin with The Body Shop's Vitamin E Cream Cleanser- you need about a 10p sized amount of cream for your whole face so it lasts for a long time. I love this cleanser as it doesn't leave an oily residue on your face as some cleansers tend to do.

After cleansing, I apply The Body Shop's Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet. This product is a bit of a strange one- a sort of gel like moisturiser. Again, you don't need to apply a large amount of this as a little goes a long way. It is really light on the skin and feels so hydrating and refreshing. It is ideal for people with oily skin types like mine as it doesn't feel greasy and reduces shine.

I also give my skin a weekly treat with this gorgeous French Kiss Clay Mask from Bomb Cosmetics- check out their website here if you haven't already. I was like a child in a sweet shop! (mini haul review coming soon!). It leaves my skin feeling so smooth and it smells absolutely beautiful!

Current Favourite Bloggers

I love nothing more than coming home from work, changing into my comfy PJs and reading beauty blogs for the majority of the night (wild life, right?!). The internet is now saturated with beauty bloggers and although I am new to the writing side of blogging, I am very aware having been a blog reader for a very long time, that it is becoming quite difficult to catch the attention of the readers with so many bloggers reviewing the same products and writing similar posts. Obviously, it is almost impossible to create completely unique content but nonetheless, each blog post takes a lot of thought, time and effort so I wanted to share a few of the brilliant bloggers that have caught my attention recently:

BY LAUREN JANE- I have been reading Lauren's blog almost since she started it back in 2012. She took a little break and I am so glad she came back to beauty blogging. What I love most about Lauren's blog is that she always provides open and honest product reviews and although I do not know her personally, I feel that her friendliness comes through in her posts. You should definitely pop over and have a look at Lauren's blog, you will find plenty of helpful product reviews and will be able to follow her on her fitness journey!

FROM THE CORNERS OF THE CURVE- I have only discovered Callie's blog recently and I feel like I have been missing out with this one. She is a beaut and I am incredibly jealous of her long flowing locks! Callie puts together some incredible outfits for us curvier ladies and I particularly like her posts discussing body confidence and learning to accept yourself  for who you are. Callie has recently become engaged so I am assuming that there could be some wedding planner posts coming up very soon too!

JORDAN'S BEAUTIFUL LIFE- I have also been a dedicated reader of Jordan's after discovering her YouTube channel 2 years ago. Her make-up tutorials are absolutely brilliant and she creates some stunning looks- I have picked up so many useful tips from her videos. Jordan is also a motivational speaker since she had an accident in her younger years- I find her an inspiring, powerful woman with so much positivity! The world needs more Jordan's :)

Are there any bloggers you would recommend right now?!

What's In My Make Up Bag?

What's In My Make Up Bag?I know there are so many 'What's in my make up bag?' posts flying around right now, however, I can't say I have any complaints. I'm always interested (some may say nosey!) to know what products fellow beauty bloggers are using on a regular basis. I am going to be writing a more in depth review of some of the products featured as I have discovered some total gems recently and I feel that they deserve a post of their own. For now, I have included links below if you want to purchase anything in my make up bag:

Top 5 MAC Lipsticks

Hi everyone! If you're a make up obsessed individual then it is almost an unwritten rule that you will be obsessed with MAC lipsticks, right?! I don't think it's possible to walk past a MAC shop without popping in to purchase a lipstick (not for me anyway!). Today I have picked my 5 favourite MAC lipsticks to share with you:

Favourite MAC lipsticks

1. Dark Side: This is a relatively new addition to my collection but I am in love with it and it has quickly become one of my favourite MAC lipsticks ever. I don't suit generic red lipsticks so I wasn't sure if this would be for me. It's a real head turner this one and perfect for a night out. I wear this with subtle make up to add some glamour with a statement lip.

2. Up the Amp: Purple is my favourite colour so the fact that this has made my top 5 is a bit of a given. It is a lilac/purple colour with blue undertones and really compliments my paler skin tone. I find that I can wear this during the day and for going out for 2 completely different looks.

3. Faux: My daily lipstick that I wear to work. It's a lovely neutral colour that looks smart and professional. I'm running quite low on this so I will definitely be repurchasing when I need to!

4. Im-passioned: I thought I would be completely out of my comfort zone with this lipstick as it's a bright coral colour and as you can see from the other 4, I'm a dark lipstick kinda girl. However, I was pleasantly surprised that it suited me and I can already tell this will be my go to Summer lipstick.

5. Craving: I feel that 'Craving' is the ideal title for this lipstick as there is something very sexy about it and women love to feel sexy, right?! It is a deep plum colour that is very rich and striking on the lips. This stays on for hours and I find that you don't have to top up very often.
