Best of Beauty Products 2015

As if there is only ONE day left before we enter 2016....if we could just put that on hold because I could do with another month before the year ends?!

2015 has been one of them 'blink or you'll miss it' kind of years...I feel like it was January just yesterday. I've had a pretty good year all round and one of my main achievements has been venturing into the world of beauty blogging (I thought I'd never get my arse in gear...!), so I thought I'd end the year the way it started...with beauty products!

I've put together my most used, staple beauty products of 2015 (these have all won the Fran's seal of approval award, congrats ;)) :
Best of Beauty Products 2015
Base - Laura Mercier Foundation Primer, NARS Creamy Concealer, L'Oreal True Match Foundation and One Heck of a Blot Mattifying Powder. You can read more about my current favourite base products here. I've loved all of these products so much that I've barely made any changes to my base routine this year.

Contour - my trusty Sleek Contour Kit. If I'd have been blogging in 2014, this would have definitely appeared last year too. I love how subtle and buildable this product is and you can't argue with the high street price either. I've pretty much hit the pan now so I need to repurchase for 2016.

Highlighter - I think this one may feature in several of these posts this year and is pretty predictable but Mary Lou Manizer Luminizer in my opinion is worth every bit of the hype. I know everyone has been raving about Becca Champagne Pop but I own both and I'm still all about Mary Lou. Are we ever going to find a highlighter that tops this one?

Eye Palette - Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita....the dream of all eye palettes. I've been reaching for this all year for day and night eye looks and it's really all you need in one palette. I love how compact it is too so I can pop it in my handbag for when I'm on the go.

Mascara - Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes .....ohhhh, CT again!! It's a bit naughty of me to be including this in my products of 2015 as I've only owned it for about 3 months but obviously I fell in love with it straight away. No clumps and no irritated eyes is always a winner for me.

Brows - Another predictable but insanely good introduction to the beauty world, Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz has given my wild eyebrows the precision that they have been craving all these years. Hats off to this product for keeping our 2015 brow game strong.

Lipstick - Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick. In 2016, I'd just like to own every single one of these please. I just love everything about these lipsticks from the colour to the packaging to the pigmentation. This has been my most worn lipstick of 2015 and I'm on a mission to build my collection.

The all round winner for me this year has been Charlotte Tilbury. I haven't been disappointed with any of the products I have tried from the brand so far and I've tried and tested a fair few! I think they've got everything on point from product quality, packaging and price point. I can't wait for the 2016 launches.

Have any of these products been your staples throughout 2015? What have been your favourite beauty products this year? :)

What I Got For Christmas 2015

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope Santa was good to you all and you had a wonderful time eating and drinking with family/friends. I've been so lazy over the Christmas period and I've loved every minute of it. I've put on roughly 10 stone and think I may need to check into AA due to my Prosecco addiction.

I was unsure as to whether I was going to write one of these posts but when I asked on Twitter, it turns out that you're all as nosey as I am when it comes to other people's Christmas gifts so here we are. Obviously, this post has to start with a disclaimer to let you all know that I am in no way bragging about the gifts I received. I'm grateful for every single one of them. My family and I like to treat each other at this time of year so we do tend to go all out. Here's what I got:
Kindle Paperwhite- I was so happy when I opened this present, I left my last Kindle in New York and was totally devastated. I love reading and felt a little bit lost without it. I've already downloaded lots of books to read to make up for lost time! I'll be sure to be more careful with this one and not let it out of my sight!

Yankee Candle Set - alllllllll the smells!! I was tempted to rip open the box and burn them all at once but then decided that might be a little too overpowering. Such a perfect gift for candle lovers (who doesn't love candles?!). My particular favourites are Christmas Cookie and Cranberry Ice.

Pandora Earrings- my Mum bought me these beautiful earrings to go with the Pandora statement ring that I posted about here. I've worn these every day since I got them and they're absolutely stunning.

Neal's Yard Organic Defence Spray, Ginger & Vanilla Bath and Shower Gel & Bee Lovely Busy Bee Balm - I've loved Neal's Yard as a brand this year and have been so impressed with the products they have to offer. I've built up quite an impressive collection so really happy I have 3 more things to add to it!
Jimmy Choo & YSL Black Opium Perfume - my two favourite perfumes which I had just run out of (someone was obviously paying great attention this year!). I'm really into sweet, girly perfumes so these are just perfect. I think I'm on my 4th/5th bottle of both now.

Benefit They're Real Mascara - got to love my Mum, I was having a Benefit makeover in Manchester and as she was waiting for me at the counter, she felt obliged to buy something. Luckily, this mascara is one of my favourites so the 'obligation to buy' thing turned out pretty well.

Bare Minerals Glow All The Way Set- my manager bought me this as half a Christmas present and half a 'thank you for your hard work this year' present. I'm looking forward to trying this little set as I've never tried anything from the Bare Minerals brand before but I've heard great things.
Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Set - I'm a pretty helpful person when it comes to gifts - I received a Liz Earle Christmas brochure through the post and accidentally stuck very obvious post-it notes on the pages with 'I love this' and 'this would be a perfect Christmas present'.  It obviously worked as I received my beloved Cleanse & Polish and the Limited Edition Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Sweet Orange & Mint. The orange and mint is equally as beautiful as the original and smells as gorgeous as it sounds.

Champneys Hand Cream - I received this in my stocking and it's such a great hand cream. I've been using it daily already and it's ideal for your handbag. It's one of them hand creams that soaks in so well and leaves you with the softest hands.

Molton Brown Hand Cream Set - love this gift from my sister. She had the amazing idea of buying me a 3 month Love Me Beauty box subscription (can't wait to receive my first box) and then I was overly spoilt with this set of 3 gorgeous hand creams. I'd definitely recommend these if you can get hold of them in the sale!

I'm so pleased with all of my gifts and I've been very lucky as Mum also bought my sister and I tickets to Harry Potter Studios which I am SO excited about - I've wanted to go for so long and really pleased to have something to look forward to already in 2016!

What did you all get for Christmas?! Let me know in my comments below...leave me any links to your 'What I Got For Christmas' posts :)

Current Face Base Routine

Face Base RoutineI thought I'd share my current face base with you all today as I'm pretty happy with it at the minute! That's quite unusual for me because I tend to change my primer/foundation/powder on a regular basis (so fickle) but I've stuck with these products for a good few months now.
Firstly, I apply my dream Laura Mercier Foundation Primer. I can't even tell you how pleased I am to have discovered this product. I actually got it in the Harvey Nicks/Glossybox Christmas collaboration last year and I love it so much. I've always struggled with primers, I can't stand them ones that give an almost powdery finish on your skin, you know the type?! Then there's the ones that are just too wet and thank you. Laura Mercier, however, have got the gel like formula just right and I will be repurchasing when I've run out.
Next, I apply L'Oreal True Match Foundation. I was slightly dubious about this as I'd seen so much hype about it - I'm normally disappointed by hyped products but I was pleasantly surprised. I have the shade Rose Ivory and it's a great match for my skin. It needs building up if you like a full coverage but I like that it's not too heavy.
Copious amounts of Nars Creamy Concealer in Chantilly is applied under my eyes (damn those dark circles!), down the centre of my nose and in the middle of my chin. It's so pale that I can use it to highlight areas as well as conceal. 2 jobs done for the price of 1 - brillllll.
To finish, I buff Soap & Glory One Heck of A Blot Powder into my skin to set everything and give me a flawless finish and I'm all good to go! (Well, besides highlighter, contour, blusher eyes and lippy but you know what I mean ;))

What is your current face base routine? Do you own any of the products featured in this post?

Body Positivity: 5 Things I Love About Myself

I've joined in with a couple of body positivity chats over on Twitter recently (@franbeautyblog) and they've been great. It saddens me that it doesn't seem to be OK to voice that you love yourself and I promise you it is absolutely OK to be happy with you are and what you've got. At the end of the day you're bloody stuck with it even if you don't like it.

These are the things that I love about myself:

1. My teeth and so I should be after having 6 teeth removed, some sort of jaw realigning thing (loved how unsexy this was, made me lisp and spit everywhere, it really helped bag the boys when I was 15) and then I endured train track braces for 5 years! I've also had them professionally whitened so I have lovely straight and bright white teeth now.

2. My eyes probably the feature that I get the most compliments on. I have big, striking eyes and even though I wear glasses, they still manage to stand out. I love the colour too- green/brown-ish (depends on the day) and I love applying eye shadow and mascara to make them look all glamorous and pretty!

3. My lips really lucky to have fuller lips because I don't need to go down the Kylie Jenner route and whack any filler in the ol' pout (definitely would though if needed). I can get away without wearing any lipstick too which can be good when in a rush.

4. My calves bit of a weird one but I have a love/hate relationship with my legs. I can't stand my thighs as they're so wobbly and covered in cellulite but I'm happy with my lower legs as they're a lot slimmer and more toned. Don't mind flashing a bit of the lower leg on the odd occasion (cheeeeky).

5. My boobs bit of a cheeky one but I'm pretty blessed in the breast department and I love how curvy they make my body look. Definitely not saying you have to have big boobs to look good but I'm a bigger girl and they make my body look in proportion.

We need more positivity in the world in relation to body image, I think there is so much negativity surrounding who's too fat, too thin, too tall, too short. What a load of media driven rubbish. As long as you are happy and healthy, who cares eh?!

What do you love about your body?...Share with me in the comments below!!
Love yourselves ladies 'n' gents.

Christmas Gift Ideas For Her

Christmas Gift Ideas For Her
I'm as late with this Christmas gift ideas post as I am with my own Christmas shopping. I always leave myself rushing around last minute with a million presents left to buy (exaggeration, I definitely don't have that many friends). Christmas is hands down the best time of year though and I love buying presents for other people. It just gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling right?!

1. Benefit World Famous Neutrals Eye Palette I went for a makeover at the Benefit counter in Manchester a couple of weeks ago and I was really impressed with this palette so obviously had to buy it. I think this is an absolute bargain- 2 creaseless shadow pots and 4 eye shadows for £23.50.
Perfect for weekends away/holidays as it has everything in that you need to create day and night eye looks.

2. Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick it's blogger goals to own a CT lipstick. I'd like the whole collection including the colours that don't suit me because y'know it's Charlotte Tilbury lipsticks. I have Velvet Underground already (pictured above) but I'd love to add Glastonberry, Amazing Grace and Stoned Rose to my collection.

3. Molton Brown White Truffle Hand Exfoliator & Treatment these two products have been my saviour for the Winter months and I haven't had dry/cracked hands for the first time in years. I use the hand exfoliator once a week and the hand cream every night. I'm obsessed with the luxurious packaging and the smell is just heavenly. Sometimes I have to remind myself that even though the name includes the word truffle, they aren't edible.

4. Essie Nail Polish in Leading Lady most beautiful Christmassy polish ever. I'm not usually a fan of red on me but this wine colour is so rich and glittery I can't help but love it. I just look at my nails and think WOO IT'S CHRISTMAS and get a bit over-excited. I think that's when you know you're wearing a good nail polish.

5. Charlotte Tilbury Eye Blender Brush buy this for a beauty lover and I'm pretty sure you'll be shocked at how excited someone can get over a brush. It blends your shadow beautifully, I even prefer it to the MAC 217 brush which is a pretty big statement. I'm trying to keep it in perfect condition so I always put it back in it's little clear thing and no one else is allowed to touch it ;).

Have you bought any of these gifts for anyone this year? Is there anything here that you'd like to receive yourself?

Things I Should Probably Do As a Blogger But I Don't...

In the grand scheme of things, I'm still a relatively new blogger but I've been around long enough to notice several blogger clichés. Sometimes I think that blogging is taken a little too seriously so I've put together a short tongue-in-cheek list of things that I feel that I should probably do as a blogger, but I just don't:

1. Have Instagram
I think I may be the only 20- something that does not have an account on Instagram. Considering I like snapping pictures wherever I go, I'm surprised I'm not addicted to this social media platform. For some reason, it has just never appealed to me. It strikes me as quite a competitive, self indulgent platform that is something I try to avoid. I'll probably have a look into it for the future but for now, it's just not for me.

2. Have my Twitter account connected to my phone
I only check my blog Twitter after I come home from work for 2 reasons. The first being that beauty/blogging chat popping up on my phone at work would be very distracting and secondly, I try to ensure that social media doesn't take over my life. I prefer to have a casual browse than get involved with everything on Twitter 24/7.

3. Organise/schedule my posts
I am a last minute Larry in all walks of life and I don't think that is something that will ever change. During Twitter chats, I see a lot of bloggers tweeting that they are massively organised and have posts scheduled weeks in advance! I admire anyone that is able to do that but I find it so difficult managing full time work and a blog. My posts are almost always spur of the moment and it works pretty well for me.

4. Religiously monitor my stats
Obviously I'd be lying if I said I didn't monitor my followers/stats at all, but at this stage of blogging it's really not something that is massively important to me. I have a quick check of my Google Analytics every now and then (I'm clueless to be honest with you though, I'd have better luck understanding Japanese!). I'm so appreciative of the followers that I do have and my blogging experience to date has been nothing but positive whether I've had 1 or 100 followers.

5. Have 10 million rose gold/marble pieces for blog photos
I own one rose gold tray and have a marble A4 page that I printed from Google for my photo backgrounds (cheating, eh!?). I do admit that I am also guilty of trawling H&M home and lusting after all of their gorgeous rose gold/marble pieces but I'm happy with my marble A4 paper and my one tray for now- blog props are not something that I feel I need to spend lots of £££ on, I'd much rather have a new lipstick.

6. Have a fancy camera
I'm still taking my blog pictures with my trusty iPhone 5! I'm no photographer but I firmly believe that you can produce good photos with your phone camera with the help of a little bit of editing and natural light. If blogging was my full time job then I would most definitely invest in an expensive camera but I can't seem to part with my iPhone and I'm absolutely fine with that.

Is there anything you feel you should do as a blogger but don't? Can you think of any more blogger clichés?!

The Ultimate Winter Lipstick: Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate #30

Now that the obsession with Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick 107 has passed, it's now time to obsess over this other little beauty - Rimmel Lasting Finish Kate Lipstick #30.
I've been on the hunt for a purple lipstick for a while but most have been too dark for me until I came across this gorgeous plum/deep berry colour in Boots. It's so intense and glossy and I can tell this will be my most used lipstick shade this Winter.
Besides the colour, I also love that this shade is so buildable. If you aren't into the bold look, you can use a lip brush to control the intensity when applying it. If you're like me and love a striking, all out look you can apply it straight from the bullet. It's stunning either way. I only had to reapply this twice during my night out which I think is brilliant for a high street lipstick!
You can see me wearing this lipstick shade in my Twitter profile picture @fransbeautyblog.
Have you tried this Rimmel lipstick? What is your favourite Winter shade?

Luxury Christmas Stocking Fillers for Her

I can't even hide how excited I already am for Christmas! It's probably one of my favourite times of year- buying, wrapping and giving presents, eating too much food and quality family time is perfect in my opinion. I've also been absolutely rubbish this year and haven't bought a single present yet. I've been too busy putting together luxury stocking ideas to share with you all. These are all things that I'd be so happy to discover in my stocking (Mum, if you're reading this.....!)

I know I need to say very little about this product other than every beauty blogger will want to own this!

My favourite Molton Brown scent, I own the hand cream but can't justify spending £18 on a Shower Gel in normal circumstances. Christmas is for treating yourself though, right....

Most beautiful perfume ever, I love the 30ml bottle of this to carry around in my handbag

I know everyone is all about Mimosa and Cardamom but I much prefer Pomegranate Noir. £42 for a candle is absolutely insane but as I mentioned above, it is Christmas!

Love this cute and classy iPhone case, as every other blogger I'm obsessed with Kate Spade so I really hope this makes an appearance in my stocking this year. It will look great with my Kate Spade handbag.

What luxury gifts would you love to find in your Christmas stocking this year?!

6 Concealers for Pale Skin

Concealers for Pale Skin
A career in Sales has resulted in dark bags under my eyes and early development of crow's feet for me (brilliant). Concealer is now an essential part of my make up routine if I don't want that 'I'm so exhausted I've had 1 hour of sleep all week' kinda look. To this day, I'm still on the hunt for my perfect concealer, I haven't come across one that I'm absolutely in love with yet, but here is a selection of the ones that I have tried and tested on my pale skin so far:

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer (Chantilly) - a lovely concealer that, in my opinion, deserves the blogger hype. It applies and blends so beautifully on the skin. I love how light this shade is, it's probably the best colour match for me as it really helps to brighten my under eye area which is exactly what I need. I find that this has a lot of staying power too.

Maybelline Perfect and Cover Concealer (Light) - I wasn't as impressed with this as I thought I would be as it was surrounded by a lot of blogger hype. I found that out of all of the concealers pictured, the consistency of it settles in my creases the most. I do love the application sponge though as you can swipe it concisely under your eye, very innovative from Maybelline!

Benefit Fake Up Crease Control Concealer (01 Light) - I really like this concealer a lot even though it doesn't work well with my oily skin. I found that after a couple of hours my make up under my eyes had gradually started to slide off and was in desperate need of a touch up. I had really high hopes that this would cover my creases but unfortunately it just didn't work for me. This would be great for anyone that doesn't have oily skin as it contains hydrating qualities that stops your skin from drying out.

Laura Mercier High Coverage Concealer (Shade 1) - I have to say, I wasn't overly impressed with this product. I was holding out for this one as I have had great experiences with every other Laura Mercier product that I have tried but this one just didn't work for me personally. As it says on the tube, it's a high coverage concealer but it's so thick that I really struggled to blend it in to my skin and it gathered in all my under eye lines. I think this would be much more suited to people that don't struggle with wrinkly under eyes like I do!

Dior Skin Star Concealer (Shade 001) - this concealer is very similar to Nars Chantilly but the consistency is less creamy and while it is easy to apply, I don't find that it blends as well. You need to apply a lot more in order to get the same coverage. It does work really well in hiding my dark circles though which really makes up for it.

17 Hide Away Concealer Cream (Fair) - my favourite overall concealer of the bunch. Considering I'm a bit a self-confessed makeup snob, I always seem to favour the high end products over high street but this one really surprised me with it's quality. As you can see, it is my most used concealer and I reach for this on a daily basis. I'm not as keen on this for under my eyes but it is great for applying on blemishes and helping them to disappear. Paired with a beauty blender it covers my spots like a dream.

I always opt for the lightest shade possible when it comes to concealer and even then it sometimes isn't light enough for me! I'm still on a mission to find that ideal product that will not settle in the creases under my eyes so please feel free to make suggestions for me if you have any.

What are your favourite concealers? Have you tried any of the products featured in this post?

My MAC Palette

Even though I'm so behind the times when it comes to the MAC Pro Palette, I'm still so excited to share mine with you! I love the excitement of purchasing a new shadow, unwrapping it and placing it into it's rightful slot in my palette- so satisfying.

They aren't the cheapest palettes you will ever come across but how I've viewed it is that this palette is an investment and will be something that I can keep for a lifetime. The Pro Palette Large is £10, the insert is £2.50 and each shadow is £10. So a full palette will cost £162.50 overall.

I've opted for neutral colours because I'm pretty plain when it comes to eye makeup- I really shy away from bright colours because I don't find that they suit me at all. Maybe I should be a little more brave and try some out. My collection contains a real variety of finishes which I've popped in brackets next to the name:

Shroom (Satin)- my go to base colour. It's matte with a hint of shimmer and is great for creating day and evening looks. Very versatile and a staple for any collection in my opinion.

Vanilla (Velvet) - my 'pop' colour. This is the one I use in the middle of my eye and in the inner corners. It's got a lovely shimmer to it that allows you to brighten the areas that really need it.

Mulch (Velvet)- probably one of my favourite colours so far. It's so buildable so you can create quite a subtle look or really pack it on for a dramatic smoky eye. Blends really well too.

Woodwinked (Veluxe Pearl)- so beautiful and pigmented! The Veluxe Pearl finishes are rich and luxurious and this colour is an absolute dream.

Satin Taupe (Frost)- this shadow is almost a cream consistency even though it's a powder. It's a beautiful shimmer which adds glamour to an evening eye look.

Tempting (Lustre)- my favourite shade from my current collection. It works so well with the rest of the colours and I love that it contains a fine gold glitter because who doesn't love glitter?!

I can't wait to add more shadows to my collection and fill my palette, I think I'll have to let Santa know I've been extra good this year...

What MAC eyeshadow colours would you recommend for my palette? Have you started one?

Sephora Haul NYC

This post is a little overdue as I've now been back from New York for a little over a month now, but it was impossible to post while I was in the depths of holiday blues (at least 4 weeks). Every beauty blogger knows that a trip to New York is not complete without a Sephora haul.
Sephora Haul NYC
Now, I found it incredibly difficult to control myself as I'd never been anywhere like Sephora before.
I told myself that I had to limit myself to brands that you either can't purchase in the UK or are really difficult to get hold of because it's so easy to go absolutely crazy!

Stila Stay All Day Foundation and Concealer- I actually wanted to purchase the Makeup Forever Ultra HD but the Sephora makeup artist informed me that, as my skin already had dry patches, the product wouldn't really be suitable for me. Instead, he advised that I opt for this Stila product. It is probably the best skin match I've ever had with a foundation and it leaves your skin looking so flawless. However, this wouldn't be the best foundation for pale skin girls. I'm pretty pale and the lightest shade is quite dark and takes a serious amount of blending.

Original Beauty Blender- this was first on my list the minute that I booked New York (I need to get out more!). I'm a big fan of the Real Techniques beauty blender but I was keen to see the difference between that and the original. I couldn't justify spending a fortune on it in the UK so I waited until I could get it almost half price in the US!

Sephora Retractable Eyebrow Pencil- an Anastasia Beverly Hills brow pencil dupe. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative then this is the product to go for because there really is no difference between the two.

Makeup Forever Artist Eyeshadow-  to make up for the disappointment of the unsuitable foundation, I was drawn to this beautiful metallic eyeshadow in Recharge. It is such a glamorous shade and these colours are so pigmented, I'm seriously impressed.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day- I'm yet to try this product but I was given a free gift for spending so much in store. I've heard great things about Living Proof as a brand so I have high hopes for this and can't wait to try it out.
Too Faced Sweet Maple lipstick- this was another last minute purchase recommended by the lovely makeup artist. I'd already popped a deep berry Kat Von D lipstick in my basket and was adamant that it was the one I wanted. My mind was rapidly changed when I tried this on as I felt it was a softer take on Autumn berry colours. It applies brilliantly- an amazing cream consistency without drying out your lips.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush- I'd heard a lot about the Tarte blushers and I sure wasn't disappointed. I opted for the shade Fearless which is a gorgeous coral pink. It appears pretty bright in the pan but when applied it creates a lovely natural look. It's staying power is brilliant and I love the creamy/powder consistency.

Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop- another cult beauty blogger product that I knew I had to get my hands on. I'm pleased that I own this but I'm not sure if the product lived up to its hype for me. My skin is pretty oily when I apply makeup so I felt that this highlighter was a little too sparkly and a little bit too much for me. I much prefer a matte finish personally but the product itself is lovely and is ideal for a glamorous look.
Have I featured any of your favourite Sephora products? If you haven't been to Sephora, what products are on your wish list?

Long Haul In-Flight Beauty Essentials

I must apologise for my blogging absence but it seems that life has gotten in the way of my much loved hobby for a little while! During my break, I've taken a long awaited trip to New York which was absolutely amazing (just like in the movies!).
New York was my first ever long haul flight and my skin really does not get on with recycled air con on planes at all, so with 7 hours to kill it was the perfect opportunity to pamper myself to pass the time.
Firstly, I cleansed my face with Simple Face Wipes. I do tend to stay away from face wipes as I know they strip the natural oils from your skin but they're very convenient to take with you on a flight. My toner of choice was Simple Facial Toner and I moisturised with a Liz Earle Mini Combination/Oily Moisturiser. I finished off the facial routine with a Sanctuary Spa Time Reversal Face Mask. It's a collagen bonding treatment with skin plumping qualities which is just lovely. Face masks are also a great defence for your face as they will protect you from the recycled air. I kept my lips soft and nourished with Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lip Balm.

I can't cope with germs so Soap and Glory Hand Maid Gel is essential for me (I also took anti-bacterial wipes and attacked everything in sight with them!) and to combat the drying effects of the hand gel I packed Soap and Glory Hand Food.

Some form of deodorant is a must for a flight. There are enough weird smells on planes without adding body odour to the mix. I opted for Nivea Pearl and Beauty 48 Hour Protection and the gorgeous I Am Juicy Couture Rollerball Perfume. I was applying this throughout the whole flight to take my mind off the plane food smell and because I was obsessed with how nice it is. Colgate Advanced Clean Toothpaste and Colgate Plax Mouthwash were essential for fresh breath and if you're like me and suffer from sinus/congestion issues I would definitely recommend taking Otrivine Congestion Relief with you too.

I'm so glad that I spent some time looking after my skin as it made a huge difference when I landed. I didn't suffer any breakouts at all like I usually do and it felt so relaxing and refreshing. I did get some odd looks from the 60-something gentleman sat to my left but he did compliment the 'lovely lemony smell' when I spritzed my face with Caudalie Beauty Elixir!

I purchased all of these mini products from Boots, Superdrug and Feel Unique.

What are your in-flight essentials?

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser and Toner

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser Review
I'm really late to the party with Kiehl's skincare, but better late than never, ay! I recently finished my beloved Liz Earle cleanse and polish and was on the hunt for something different just for a little change. I put the feelers out on Twitter and lots of you recommended that I try Kiehl's. I went ahead and purchased Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cleanser and Ultra Facial Toner. I've been using both products daily for roughly 3 weeks and I'm really impressed.

To use the cleanser you just need to splash water on your face and massage in to damp skin. It is quite a thick consistency which I don't usually like but it really feels like it is clearing your face of any dirt and grime. It's amazing for makeup removal- I was so surprised after I used the toner to discover next to no leftover makeup on the cotton pad as the facial cleanser had nearly removed all of it.

The toner is probably my favourite product of the two- the consistency is what I can only describe as 'diluted milk' which sounds awful but it's really not! It's so gentle on your skin and I haven't experienced any of the skin tightening or drying that occurs with some toners.

These products combined leave my skin feeling super clean, soft and nourished which is what you hope for from your skincare routine. I opted for the 75ml bottles just in case I didn't get on with them but I will definitely be repurchasing them full size.

My skin is very happy that I've discovered Kiehl's and after receiving a little sample with this purchase, I now have my eye on the Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Have you tried Kiehl's? What is your favourite product?

Current Beauty Wishlist

I can only apologise for being a little AWOL on the blogging front recently. I have an extremely busy, demanding day job and I'm really struggling to organise myself and get a good work/life balance at the minute! So this post is just a little update to let you all know that I'm still alive and let you take a look at the products that I'm lusting after right now. Hurry up pay day!Beauty Wishlist

1. Tom Ford Lip Color in Negligee £38.00

I'm absolutely obsessed with the entire Tom Ford range although I'm going to have to win the lottery to own it all as the products come with a hefty price tag. I'm really drawn to the stunning, luxury packaging (of course) and I can imagine that the products are incredible quality. They have so many lipsticks shades in the range but I'm particularly drawn to this deep plum lipstick, Negligee and I really need to own it.

2. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation £29.50

I have a feeling this may be the new revolutionary product that will become very highly sought after among bloggers. It has everything that you could ever ask for in a foundation- SPF, full coverage but weightless feel, anti-ageing, acne coverage and pore minimizing qualities. It also comes in 15 shades! I really hope it lives up to the expectations and I can't wait to get my hands on one.

3. Smashbox Full Exposure Eye Palette (Travel Size) £17.50

I need this palette in my life before I jet off to New York in October. These eyeshadow shades look absolutely beautiful and have everything you need in one palette- shimmers and mattes for day & night looks-plus it comes in a travel size for £17.50 which is just perfect.

4. Kiko Metallic Shine Eyeshadow in Strong Chocolate £6.90

Kiko is a range that I am yet to try but I have seen so much hype around this brand within the blogosphere. I haven't seen any complaints about any of the products so far- I've been browsing their website and I have a list as long as my arm. I am in love with this Strong Chocolate eyeshadow shade and it's a total steal for £6.90!

5. Becca x Jaclyn Hill Shimmering Skin Perfector in Champagne Pop £30.00

Probably the biggest blogging hype product at the minute but I can see why- from what I have seen on Twitter, it is absolutely gorgeous. I will definitely be purchasing this product when I go to the U.S. next month.

Do you own any of these products? What products will you be buying after payday?!

BOSS Woman Runway Edition Perfumes 2015 Review

I have 4 words right now: I AM IN LOVE. With whom I hear you ask?! The lucky guy is Hugo Boss...or more specifically the BOSS Woman Runway Edition perfumes*. This latest launch has been created by the brand's Artistic Director, Jason Wu, who has combined both fashion and fragrance.

Firstly, I would like to talk about the packaging because we all know that I am a sucker for pretty packaging and Hugo Boss hasn't let me down here. I was pretty impressed before I had even tested the scents- the packaging is simple, stylish and extremely classy. I'm a big fan of the fashion sketches that have been etched on the outside of each bottle too. I personally feel that brands can sometimes go overboard with extravagant designs but in this case, less is definitely more.
The MA VIE Pour Femme Runway Edition is quite a musky, masculine scent which, surprisingly, I really like. I'm generally a lover of fruity perfumes so this took me right out of my comfort zone. It is a mixture of cactus blossom and rose creates a bold, sophisticated scent that I feel can be worn during the day or at night.
The JOUR Pour Femme Runway Edition is probably the one that is most similar to the perfumes that I would usually wear. It is a great perfume for wearing during the day as it contains citrus and freesia blossom- such a refreshing, light combination that is not too overpowering.
Last but not least, we have the NUIT Pour Femme Runway Edition which is most definitely a sexy, night time scent. This perfume is an intense infusion of peaches, jasmine and violet which I absolutely love. This would be perfect for any of you who like fruity or floral perfumes.

While typing this post I am sat here wearing all 3 perfumes because I simply can't decide which one I like best. All scents are versatile and long lasting and there is something for everyone in this range. You can purchase this range here, here and here and trust me, you need all 3 in your life!

Have you tried any of the BOSS Woman Runway Edition perfumes? Do you love the packaging as much as I do?!

*These products are PR samples via TalkPR.

Everyday Face Brushes

Makeup Brushes, Real Techniques, Zoeva
Firstly, I must apologise for the state of my unclean brushes. I am potentially the laziest person ever when it comes to cleaning make up brushes, a real bad habit of mine (sorry beauty bloggers!). Now, I own a fair amount of face brushes but these are the ones that I always go back to regularly:

Real Techniques Buffing Brush: this is my all time favourite make-up brush and I haven't yet come across anything else that compares to it. I have tried so many foundation brushes but I can't seem to part with this one. It just buffs the product into your skin so well and creates the most flawless base.

Zoeva Luxe Cheek Finish: the first thing I have to say about this brush is that it's so soft! It feels like silk on my cheeks and applies blusher so well. I find that it buffs the right amount of product into your skin so a healthy glow takes very little effort. I don't know about you but I'm all for a tool that makes life much easier!

Real Techniques Contour Brush: I know the name of this is a 'contour' brush but I didn't really get on well with it for applying my contour. It didn't give a dramatic enough effect for me so I use this to apply my highlighter and also to conceal my under eyes with powder as it is the perfect shape. Using this brush gives you a softer look which is ideal for highlighting as I don't want my face to look like a glitter ball!

Zoeva Face Shape Brush: this brush is amazing for contouring, the dense head allows you to really pack on the product and hollow out those cheeks to create killer cheekbones. It isn't the brush for you if you are looking for a natural finish as it does make the contour appear really intense. I'm a fan of the not so natural contour look as my chubby cheeks are hiding my cheek bones so I need a little help to create the illusion!

Do you own any of these brushes? What are your favourite face brushes?

Big Beauty Haul

Drugstore Beauty Haul, NARS, Soap and Glory, Rimmel, L'Oreal
If you follow me over on Twitter @fransbeautyblog, you'll know that I went a little bit mental this week and had a huge beauty haul! I absolutely love reading blogger's beauty hauls as I'm really nosy and like to see what other people have picked up. I went for a mixture of drugstore and high end products from Boots, Charlotte Tilbury and Nars. So here is what I purchased...

Maybelline Color Drama Lipstick in In With The Coral
Nars Creamy Concealer in Chantilly
Soap & Glory One Heck of a Blot Super-Translucent Mattifying Powder
Sleek Blush in Rose Gold
L'Oreal Lumi Magique Concealer
Charlotte Tilbury Full Fat Lashes Mascara
Rimmel Brow This Way Styling Gel in Clear

I haven't had a chance to try all of these products yet but I am seriously impressed with the Nars Creamy Concealer and Rimmel Brow This Way so far. I'll let you all know how I get on with everything else!

Have you tried any of these products? What products would you recommend for my next beauty haul?

Hair Product Holy Grail

Hair Oil, SP, Wella
After a relentless search for a hair oil to bring life back to my dry hair, I have finally found a product that I love in the form of Wella Luxe Oil Reconstructive Elixir. It has taken me a while to find a suitable hair oil because my hair is naturally oily and gets greasy very quickly (attractive!). I often find that oil makes my hair look like I've stuck it in a chip pan which isn't really the thing I'm looking for from a hair product. The best thing about Wella Luxe Oil is that it's extremely light. I towel dry my hair and run a small amount through the mid-ends and then blow dry it as normal. The result is shiny, nourished and healthy looking hair and when I say shiny I mean really shiny! I don't find that this product makes my hair any more oily than it normally is which is great for me. It smells like sweet almonds too which is just utterly gorgeous!

What is your favourite hair oil? What are your holy grail hair products?

Breville Blend-Active Smoothie Maker

Breville Blend Active smoothie recipes
A little bit of a non beauty related post from me today as I am obsessed with my new Breville Blend-Active Blender. You definitely know that you're getting on a bit when you get over-excited about kitchen appliances!

I have recently decided that I need to go on a bit of a health kick as I have become too lazy when it comes to food and I've been cramming my body with way too many carbs and fatty foods. I'm going to New York in October and I want to be as fit and healthy as possible as there will be a lot of walking involved, so that is my goal. I can't remember the last time that breakfast was included in my diet and I am very aware that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. For some reason, I just can't eat food in the morning, it makes me feel really ill! I have therefore been searching for a healthy alternative to food and this is where smoothie making comes in.

I am by no means a pro-smoothie maker but the Blend-Active Blender is pretty fool proof and I threw together a couple of delicious recipes earlier on today:

Banana/Fresh Berry Smoothie

300ml Almond Milk
1 cup of raspberries
1 cup of blueberries
1 chopped banana
1/4 cup of chia seeds

Frozen Mixed Berry Smoothie

300ml of cold water
1 cup of frozen mixed berries
1/4 cup of chia seeds

I can't wait to try out some more recipes, I think a green smoothie with spinach will be next on my menu!

What do you eat as a healthy breakfast? Do you have any delicious smoothie recipes to share with me?

Beauty on a Time Limit

So, I have a right array of products that I have been enjoying this week. Having such a busy job means that I don't have a lot of time to spend when it comes to putting make up on or taking it off during the week. I could get out of bed earlier but I love my sleep even more than I love make up! I'm loving all of these products because they are so handy and just make my life much easier when it comes to perking up my skin the lazy way or attempting to look a little more glamorous on a daily basis:

Charlotte Tilbury Dolce Vita Palette: I am obsessing over this palette at the minute, I can't get enough of it. I have been taking this everywhere with me, I just find it so versatile as it can transform any look. You can create a neutral look for during the day and a bolder, more dramatic look if you are going out- you just can't go wrong with it.

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick: A berry coloured lipstick of course (what did you expect from me!?). I slick this on in a morning to make me feel more glamorous than I actually am. It feels so moisturising and has amazing staying power. I love a statement lip when I don't have time to apply a full face of make up on a time limit!

Rodial Bee Venom Moisturiser: I can't even tell you how much I love this product. I could probably write a whole blog post on this one product (maybe two?!) and it still wouldn't be enough. I discovered this beauty when it came in the Harvey Nichols addition of Glossybox and I am down to the last little bit. I have never tried a moisturiser that makes such a difference to my skin upon application. It makes the skin look glowing and healthier almost immediately. I pop this on morning and night, it evens out my skin tone and feels soothing too.

CND Scentsations Crushed Amber Lotion: This hand cream is perfect to pop in your handbag- I have been applying this religiously throughout the day. It sinks in to the skin so beautifully and does not feel thick or greasy. It also smells absolutely delicious and this range comes in so many different scents, I want to own them all!

Nivea Daily Essentials Extra Gentle Eye Make Up Remover: This has become a staple product in my night time make up removal routine. It has taken me so long to find an eye make up remover that actually works and doesn't irritate my eyes. I love it. This product removes every scrap of stubborn mascara and leaves your eye area feeling refreshed. Perfect for removing your make up quickly when you just want to fall into bed at the end of a very long day.

And there we have it, a round up of my go to products when I'm really pushed for time!

What products do you recommend when you're feeling a bit lazy?! Are there any handy products that you always have in your handbag?
P.s. I have recently set up a Twitter account for my blog. I'd be very grateful if you followed me @fransbeautyblog

Social Media Update: Fran's Beauty Blog Twitter

Hello everyone! So, I finally got round to setting up a Twitter account for all things related to this blog. I have a private Twitter account but I haven't used it since March as I kinda fell out of love with it after 50K+ tweets. I realised that my life was extremely mundane and I was running out of interesting things to tweet about (oh dear!). I do, however, want a specific place where I can connect with my fellow bloggers and discuss all things beauty related. I would be incredibly grateful if you clicked on the link below and followed me on Twitter:

I'm now debating creating an Instagram account as I think I must be one of the only person in their mid 20s that does not exist on Instagram!
Leave your Twitter link in the comments below and I will get following you all!

Lunch Hour Treats: Yves Saint Laurent

YSL make up haul
Popping out on my lunch hour is an extremely dangerous exercise and I think my bank balance hates me! As it transpires, I would much rather have a quick makeover in YSL than buy myself something to eat....

Firstly, if you a regular reader of my blog (I'm not sure if I have any of those yet!) then you will know that I am a sucker for beautiful packaging and YSL nail luxury packaging every single time.

I didn't have my eye on anything in particular, I was just having a little browse but I asked the lady at the counter to recommend a handful of her current favourite products and she offered to test them all out on me. After a little makeover, I decided to go with Les Sahariennes Sun Kissed Blur Perfector in No.4 Fauve which is Touche Éclat Blur Perfector's bronzed sister and Rouge Volupte Lipstick in No. 9 Pink Caress.

Les Sahariennes is like nothing I have ever tried before- it is a bronzer that comes in a balm formula but when applied to the skin it feels like a silky powder. It is one of the best contour products I have ever tried, it is buildable so you can go for a natural look or apply a bit more if you prefer a little more definition. Sometimes I find that bronzers leave me with a harsh line no matter how much I blend but this blends in to the skin beautifully and there isn't a line in sight!

I adore YSL lipsticks but due to the hefty price tag, this is only the second one I have added to my collection. I currently own Rouge Volupte Shine in Fuchsia Intense which is a bold, bright colour. I was looking for a lipstick I could wear on a daily basis so opted for No. 9 Pink Caress. On first glance, it does look rather bold but when applied it is a light-medium berry shade that is actually quite neutral. I can't rave about these lipsticks enough, they come in a range of the most gorgeous colours and they are so moisturising on the lips.

What's your favourite YSL lipstick shade? Have you tried Les Sahariennes?

The Elemis Edit

Elemis skincare haul
Elemis products are by far one of my favourites when it comes to luxury skincare. I love everything about the brand from the simple, classic packaging to the carefully formulated ingredients that allow us to feel like we are relaxing in a Spa from the comfort of our own homes.
Frangipani Monoi Body Oil  £34.00 is such a versatile product. It comes in a solidified form and you pop it in warm water so that it melts into a gorgeous, silky oil. I use this in my bath, on my skin, feet, nails and sometimes run a small amount through my hair. It gives you a real Spa experience and smells absolutely beautiful. It has become a staple product in my Sunday pamper sessions.
The Papaya Enzyme Peel £32 is a luxurious face mask that comes in a really light cream formula. It contains Papaya and Pineapple so the scent is absolutely divine and not overpowering in the slightest. You massage this into your skin and leave on for 15 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water. Afterwards, my skin feels so clean and nourished. A little goes along way with this product so it lasts for ages too.
Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow £36.50 is my favourite Elemis product ever. I ummed and ahhed over this for a long while as I wasn't sure I could justify £36.50 for an exfoliator but boy am I glad I did! I often find that body scrubs can be a little harsh on my sensitive skin but the mineral salts in this Salt Glow are tiny and so delicate on the skin. Again, the scent is absolutely gorgeous and I like to apply the Frangipani Body Oil mentioned above after I have exfoliated with this body scrub. It has lasted me for ages and despite how expensive it is, I will definitely be repurchasing this when it runs out.
Elemis products do come with a hefty price tag but I think they are well worth it if you want to treat yourself once in a while!
Have you tried any of these products? Is there anything you would recommend from Elemis?

Saturday Splurge: New Beauty Purchases

Hello everyone! I went a on a little spending spree yesterday and treated myself to a few new things:
The YSL Fusion Ink Foundation was a repurchase as I have recently run out. I have been loving this foundation and it certainly lived up to it's much awaited hype. It is ideal for my oily skin and feels like silk when you apply it. I also picked up a Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in the colour Rose (because a girl can never have too many rose coloured lipsticks!). This range has had rave reviews and I'm so excited to try it. Next, I raided Bourjois and came away with Brow Beauty Touch and Contour Clubbing Eyeliner in Blue Remix.  I usually use Benefit's High Beam to highlight underneath my eyebrow arch but I have been looking for something that will give me more precision and definition. I was inspired by Vivianna Does Makeup when purchasing the eyeliner after reading her blue eyeliner post. I've tried light blue eyeliner in the past and it really doesn't suit me so I picked up this one instead. Although it is named 'Blue Remix' it is more of a metallic teal colour which is just beautiful and will be perfect for Summer. Lastly, I have been really conscious of dark circles under my eyes recently (working too hard and not enough sleep!) so I have been looking for a product which will cover and brighten them at the same time. I came across Diorskin Star Concealer and the lovely lady on the Dior counter popped some on for me while I was in the store. It instantly covered my dark circles, didn't settle in my creases and felt weightless- not cakey in the slightest and I was absolutely sold.
Real Techniques brushes were on 3 for 2 in Superdrug so I obviously had to have some. I have been desperate to try the Miracle Complexion Sponge after reading countless reviews about how you can achieve flawless skin, I really hope it lives up to it's expectations! I purchased the Expert Face Brush as I currently use the buffing brush to apply my foundation and also because it is the only core brush that was missing from my collection. I have been looking for a brush with a dense head so I can get maximum coverage especially when I'm having a bad skin day. The Concealer Brush will work perfectly with my Diorskin as the angle of this brush will fit perfectly in the under eye area.
And there we have it! I'm very pleased with all of my new purchases and can't wait to get trying them all out.

Have you tried any of these products? Is there anything that you would like to try too?

Back To Where It All Began: Avon Haul

Now, I'm just going to put it out there- it was Sabrina's Secrets that first sparked my interest in make-up (it also sparked an interesting 'shocking pink glitter eye shadow' trend among 10-12 year olds in the early 2000s) but if I'm going to get serious about it then the first 'proper' make-up I ever purchased was from Avon Cosmetics. I used to deliver Avon myself from the age of 14 and I remember putting in my order on the old school paper order forms and getting overexcited when the little paper bag full of Avon products arrived at my door. When I really began to get in to makeup, I started to spread my wings and try other brands and that has resulted in me neglecting Avon for about 6 years. However, my Mum received an Avon book a couple of weeks ago and after a little browse, I accidentally ordered £35 worth of products, as you do!
Avon Haul
Firstly, I opted for Planet Spa's Camomile & Lavender Pillow Mist, I'm not usually a fan of Lavender but the Camomile seems to dilute the overpowering smell to create a lovely, relaxing scent. I spritz my pillow twice before going to sleep and I swear it helps me drift off! The Planet Spa Chocolate Face Mask smells absolutely gorgeous. The African Shea Butter & Cocoa leaves my skin feeling so smooth too. I haven't been using the Anew Dark Circle Corrector for long enough to notice a dramatic difference yet but the product applies well and underneath my eyes feels really refreshed so far. I will keep you all updated with this one. My favourite purchase has to be the Anew Transforming Brow Filler. This product is seriously on a par with Benefit's Gimme Brow. It is a gel like formula that has a silicone brush on the tip so that you can softly comb through your eyebrows at the same time as applying the product. I love this idea as it allows you to get a really even application. I went for the 'Dark Brown' shade and it matches perfectly with my brows. The only minor gripe I have with this product is that you have to twist the pen in order for the product to come out. This does make it difficult to control the amount of gel that you are putting on your brows but overall, I love it!
Have you had a product haul recently? I'd love to hear about your new products in my comments!

June: My Favourite Bloggers

The last time I did a 'Favourite Bloggers' post it went down really well- I'm new to blogging and one of my favourite things has been engaging with and sharing tips and advice with other bloggers. I really feel that it is important to share the love and appreciate the hard work that others put in to their blogs from providing us with beautiful images to creating amazing, informative content. I feel so grateful to be a part of this growing, dynamic online community! These are the blogs I have been obsessed with throughout June:

Jasmine Talks Beauty: I have only recently come across Jasmine's blog but it has quickly become one of my favourites- her blog photography is gorgeous and there are so many in-depth product reviews (a mixture of high end and high street products!) Jasmine always leaves lovely blog comments too and as I mentioned above I think it's very important to engage with other bloggers!

Glossy Boutique | A Beauty and Fashion Blog: Over at Emma's blog you can expect an eclectic mix of posts including regular beauty hauls, fashion posts and updates about her beautiful puppy Daphne! Her blog photography is great and features large, crisp photographs (photography is definitely something I need to brush up on so it's the first thing I notice on other blogs!)- Emma is definitely one to check out.

JennieEmma: When I first came across Jennie's blog it was her writing style that drew me in- she comes across as so friendly and down to earth in her posts. It seems to be a bit of a theme with this posts but her photography is beautiful and she changes up her backgrounds regularly to keep the photos interesting. It's even better that Jennie seems to share my obsession with bath bombs- check out her posts here and here.

Who are you favourite bloggers right now? I highly recommend checking out all of these gorgeous ladies :)

Out With The New and In With The Old...

As with most beauty obsessives, I sometimes find myself drowning in products- too much make up and not enough faces to put it on. For this reason, every so often I will have a little route around my make up bag and rekindle my love for some of the products that I have neglected in favour of my brand new purchases. I've put together a few of the products I have fallen back in love with recently:

Clarins Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch- I swapped my Clarins primer a little while ago for Urban Decay's Pore Perfecting Primer as I fancied a change (y'know how it is) but I will always have a space in my heart for Instant Smooth Perfecting Touch. I love this primer because it feels so light on the skin- not greasy in the slightest- and foundation looks flawless on top of it.
Topshop Glow in Gleam - I will admit that I am quite fickle when it comes to highlighters. I couldn't even tell you how many I own and I have no issue with replacing one as soon as another comes along. I always seem to go back to this little pot of Topshop goodness though as it is so easy to blend and gives me the right amount of shimmer- not too much and not too little!
Barry M Fuchsia Nail Polish - This is one of the first Barry M nail polishes I ever purchased (probably around 6/7 years ago!) and it is still going strong. I always reach for this in the Summer months as you can't go wrong with the colour pink, especially one as bright as this one.
Bourjois Cream Blush in Rose Tender - I've always been a little scared when it comes to cream blushes as I fear I will end up looking Coco the Clown. Bourjois Cream Blush however is pretty fool proof. It's almost a cream to powder blush and gives a beautiful, subtle glow when applied on the cheeks.
Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream- I seriously can't find fault with this product and I'm not sure why I stopped using it for a little while. It is perfect for anything from stings, dry skin, chapped lips, angry spots, stray eyebrows and shaving rashes. I have had this tube for around a year and I still haven't run out either. A little really does go a long way- it is a thick, gel like formula and I mainly prefer to use this on my lips and let it soak in over night.
Topshop Lip Crayon in Wave Goodbye- Unfortunately, this product has been discontinued by Topshop now (boo!) but I used this religiously last Summer. I have given it a little sharpen and it's ready for it's second Summer now- it's a lovely pastel pink colour that goes with absolutely anything.
Dior Blackout Mascara- This really is an old school product for me- I remember buying this and for about a week after I couldn't get over the fact that I had just spend £24.50 on a mascara (look at me now!). This is a great product if you love dark, long lashes as it really makes a difference. It is one of the best mascaras I have ever used and there won't be a clump in sight.
Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter- I have neglected these poor lipsticks in favour for the newer Revlon lipstick launches, however, I grabbed the first one I could find before a meeting at work the other day and it just so happened to be Tutti Frutti. I forgot how gorgeous these lipsticks are and they feel so moisturising on the lips!
Is it just me that reverts back to 'old' products? Are there any products you have rekindled your love for lately?

Everyday Jewellery

I don't know about you but I love jewellery. Silver jewellery to be more precise. I have never really been a fan of gold, I don't know why just my personal preference! Most of my daily jewellery pieces come from (surprise, surprise)....Pandora. I find that their jewellery looks so simple and elegant- perfect for work during the day. I have received so many compliments about my jewellery recently and I'm always being asked where I got them from so I thought I would share with you too. I used to really like chunky, bold rings and bracelets but as I have grown older I seem to gravitate towards the more classy, feminine pieces. I also like Pandora so much because the charm bracelets are personalised and are often given as gifts to symbolise special occasions.

I like to keep my Pandora charm bracelet quite plain as I didn't want to limit my choice of charms with a colour scheme. My favourite charm is the Buddha- so cute! The small heart chain bracelet is also from Pandora- the heart is made up of tiny little jewels that add an extra bit of glamour.
All of the rings above are from Pandora apart from the double silver heart ring. That one was given to me as a birthday gift from my best friend so it holds a lot of sentimental value. The large statement ring is so beautiful and I tend to wear this on it's own as it has a lot of impact. I like to mix and match the other rings and wear a few of them together. I love that you can now stack a lot of the Pandora rings to create different looks.

Do you prefer Gold or Silver jewellery? What is your favourite Pandora item?

The Body Shop: Virgin Mojito Collection

Summer has landed at The Body Shop! I was walking through town the other day with the sole purpose of buying some boring work shoes and I'd given myself the general pep talk about not buying anything other than those shoes as I always spend too much on things I probably don't need. Obviously, after walking past The Body Shop window and clocking the Virgin Mojito display, that lasted all of 5 minutes (oops!).

Classic mojitos are my favourite cocktail ever so you can imagine my excitement when I saw this new range and I knew I had to have these products in my life. They smell absolutely beautiful and I have had to stop myself from drinking the shower gel on several occasions (please do not drink, products are not fit for human consumption!).

The Body Shop Virgin Mojito Review

I have been using the body scrub and shower gel together and they make my skin feel so refreshed, they definitely help to wake me up in a morning. My favourite product out of the 3 that I purchased has to be the Body Sorbet- I have been smoothing this all over my body on a daily basis and I absolutely love it. As it is so light and 'matte', it sinks into the skin straight away so there is no waiting around before you can get dressed and it makes my skin so soft and smooth. Perfect!

Click here to purchase products from the Virgin Mojito range. I can promise you, you won't regret it!

Have you tried any of the Virgin Mojito range? What is your favourite Body Shop range?
